A Joyous Kare, LLC plans to use the grant funding for direct service workers to help fulfill our commitment to a diverse, stable and well-trained workforce. This is essential to providing quality person-centered services and support. We recognize that the investment into our workforce by the FSSA is essential to helping individuals and families remain living in their communities with dignity and grace.
A Joyous Kare, LLC will utilize the grant funds given to them by allocating the funds to the following areas:
Wage and Benefits
A Joyous Kare, LLC will be able to provide direct support workers with higher wages and benefits such as 401k, Health, Dental and Vision medical plans. As well as PTO for both full-time and part-time workers. We will also provide bonuses and employee referral incentives.
Training and Pathways
A Joyous Kare, LLC plans to help eliminate employment barriers by creating a standard training program to help educate and train our employees, as well as any individuals that want to enter the caregiving field. We will also promote based on job performance and seniority, not solely on formal training or credentials. We will also create a career pathway model that is inclusive for direct service workers who are content in their current roles and do not wish to seek promotion to another position.
Promotion and Planning
A Joyous Kare, LLC is dedicated to improving ways to better recruit, develop, support and retain our direct support workforce. We will promote and develop strategies to bring public awareness of the essential services and support that direct service providers bring to our communities. We will educate on who can serve as a direct service worker and the roles and opportunities to enter and advance the direct service workforce.
